THE BRIEF
Holly & Co’s Congregation of Inspiration was created to inspire small business owners to believe they could build a life around their passions by doing what they love. The event was designed as an explosion of creativity, colour and inspiration.
Working as part of the Holly & Co creative team, my role was to help develop the visual concept and transform a huge event tent into an immersive, Pinterest-worthy world.
The challenge was to create something visually striking at scale, while keeping everything lightweight enough to work within the temporary structure.

CREATIVE PROCESS
I created and developed the structure for one of the event’s key installations - a large-scale streamer ceiling designed to create maximum impact with minimal weight. At the time, using streamers as a sculptural installation was still a relatively new approach. The structure required extensive material research, construction testing and experimentation with suspension techniques to achieve the right balance of weight, stability and scale.
The finished ceiling became a statement installation, transforming the space through colour, movement and scale and pushing a simple material into something much more sculptural.
At the entrance to the giant marquee, I designed and handcrafted a large-scale Polish Pająki chandelier, adapting the traditional hanging structure into a lightweight installation at an ambitious scale. I also created a fringe streamer photo wall, extending the visual language
of the ceiling into another tactile, highly graphic moment within the space.
