THE BRIEF
Incident.io came to us to bring their Women in Tech event to life, transforming the rooftop setting at Llama Inn into something bold, playful and unmistakably Y2K.
The brief was all about nostalgia and sparkle, think tinsel, CDs, glitter and everything that made the early 2000s so much fun.
With just one hour to transform the venue, we needed a concept that would make an immediate impact while working with the existing character of the space.
CREATIVE PROCESS
We wanted to create a Y2K-inspired world that felt shiny, nostalgic and unapologetically fun.
The main room was transformed with layers of handmade pink tinsel fringe, creating movement and texture across the space while instantly changing the atmosphere.
At the centre, we created a bespoke chandelier entirely from CDs, turning a nostalgic object into a statement installation. As it caught the light, the chandelier became a focal point above the room throwing reflections and bringing that unmistakable Y2K sparkle to the event.
We carried the idea outside too, adding tinsel fringe in a mix of colours to the rooftop and creating smaller moments
of colour and movement throughout the space.
At the entrance, a custom sign welcomed guests and introduced the playful tone of the evening before they stepped inside.
Every element was designed to make an impact turning a rooftop restaurant into a glittering Y2K-inspired world.
